Capitola is a small beach town located at the north end of Monterey bay and just 5 miles from Santa Cruz. Whats peculiar about Capitola is the brightly colored cottages built on the Venetian theme. It brings the charm of Venice into Capitola. It is a treat to overlook the colorful villages from a restaurant perching into the ocean. Most of the restaurants offer a great view of the ocean, wharf and the Venetian village.
Even though I live in Bay Area, I somehow never heard about this place- weird thing. Well thankfully, I saw some pictures a friend posted and thought wow, where is this ? And to my surprise, this was a 1.5 hour drive from my place :D
The place is very picturesque and I was in love with beach and the brightly lit and colorful walls of the Venetian village. It is a great place for a beautiful photoshoot as well.
